		<description>You should be feeling damn lucky! In Ireland, I am paying â‚¬35 per month for a 2mb line into my house. 21% of Ireland isn&#039;t connected to Broadband.

For such a rich country, Ireland is the second richest nation in europe per head of capital, yet 8mb speed is the fastest we have, and we&#039;re only a small country. Also, Ireland depends on the investment from foreign Companies in to Ireland, especially American. If there is no proper broadband infrastructure, there is effectively no communication, which turns away foreign investment.

Ireland is the third worst in europe for broadband penetration, and we&#039;re one of the richest countries.

The Japanese are able to penetrate broadband simply, because all Japan is, is people living in boxes stacked up on top of each other, so therefore it is simple to do. In america, there is more land area, which causes a lot of problems.
